I feel something changing,
I can’t locate it,
I can’t define it,
I don’t know when it first started,
It’s anyone’s guess if it’ll stop,
All I know is it’s straightened my spine,
Extended my vision,
Forced my head high,
Shown me humility,
Taught me the beauty in acceptance,
For myself and others,
I’ve learned to appreciate myself,
I’ve experienced the solitude that exploring yourself can create,
And yelled with jubilant defiance in the face of loneliness,
I’ve found parts of myself long since dormant,
Or undiscovered,
And I now realise while I was never lost,
I have now found my way,
On this wonderful journey,
To nowhere in particular.
