Part 3: My Exploration Continues
After my last blog post went up I went back out into the world of Prague. I have to say I know the city centre pretty bloody well by now. It’s an incredible place and definitely somewhere I will return to in the future – there’s no doubt about it.
Each place I go to amazes me. I’m still that doe eyed traveller looking up at the sky in wonder which in Prague is kind of dangerous because the cobblestone roads aren’t great on your ankles.
My adventures took me back into Old town to take the photos I missed out on my first venture.
Last night was another impromptu drunk mission. My friends Gero and Sofia from Argentina joined me at the bar – which then lead to a Kiwi named Jeff joining us… which lead to Alex from Britain… which lead to Tyler from the US… which lead to Augusto from Argentina … which lead to Liam from Britain… Plenty of beer and plenty of food (seriously, 2kgs of Pig between 5 of us). I love travelling.
This morning was rough but Gero and Sofia wanted to see the tower and Castle so time waits for no man.
It wasn’t till about midday that I realised I should have measured how far I’ve walked since arriving in Prague. I did some basic estimations and i’m at at least 40 Kms in 3 and a half days. The area is still beautiful with sore feet.
This time I didn’t walk up the big hill and instead cheated and took the tram. Great decisions.
It was a lot of fun experiencing these areas again with other people and not just with my own company.
Unfortunately, these two characters are leaving tonight for Germany. Lucky for us we are in the Netherlands at the same time together. Definitely will see them both again, even if it’s in Argentina!
I promised myself no beer tonight… I’m on my second… curse you happy hour!
Oh well, when in Rome…
