Taking it all for granted,
That’s when I realised you were like glass to me,
At first glance a beautiful addition to my world,
You opened my eyes to wonderful things,
Wondrous light filled many rooms haunted by shadow,
Sights unseen bewildered my senses,
How was I to know it was a mirage?
Sadly I didn’t feel the pull till it was too late,
And as your vacuum inhaled everything beautiful,
I was left lost,
Wondering where all the light had gone,
Now ironically as vicious as the last words you said to me,
I see right through you.
