That sun kissed face,
A voice that lingered,
Like you were floating behind me,
While staring into my now glazed eyes,
You guided me gradually,
In and out of the eye of the storm,
I was happy then, in that moment,
As we watched the sky burn,
And the world glow beneath us,
But, it wasn’t enough,
Greed consumed all that mattered,
And as I bobbed there in the black mass,
Of my own creation,
My world became a blur,
And the clash that started it all,
A dazzling vacuum of sorrow,
Broke me in two.
