I dream of the day I can turn and wave from international departures. My goal is to save up. Save up, and travel the world. The idea is to travel to some unknown shit-hole and earn decent dollars for an extended period of time (sound familiar readers?). A foolproof plan since there will be no where to spend my money and nothing to do except write, read and work. This is assuming that I can retain my sanity for the duration. I imagine this will all take around two years till I am fully satisfied with my savings. I figure the best way to keep my sanity within my reach is to take a few well deserved holidays scattered throughout the work period.

Some ideas i’ve had are to backpack the remaining countries in South East Asia I haven’t been to (Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, and Myanmar), take a trip to Vanuatu, New Caledonia, and Papua New Guinea via Cruise, and to take a few weeks to travel around Japan and South Korea with some of my friends. But one holiday in particular grabs my attention; a cruise that will take me to Fiji, Samoa, Hawaii, French Polynesia (Tahiti, Bora Bora, Moorea) and Auckland New Zealand to name a few of the stops. I can’t think of anything more relaxing than a month at sea visiting some of the most picturesque beaches and islands on the planet. What could be better? The idea of both achieving my dream of travel and saving for future travels at the same time excites me like no other. To turn and yell bon voyage as I wave from departures seems like a better way to go. I think I’ll do that.
